The Personalized Guide Toolkit within the MyGuide application provides a comprehensive platform for customizing content management for neurodiverse users and their supporters. This tool enables users to develop, schedule, and utilize interactive multimedia guides covering a wide range of topics such as daily activities, decision-making processes, social interactions, routines, medication management, and reference materials.

Each account is equipped with an extensive multimedia toolkit that facilitates the creation, duplication, personalization, scheduling, and deployment of guides. These guides are designed to present information at appropriate times and formats, fostering user engagement and encouraging feedback regarding thoughts, feelings, and actions. The system automatically generates reports on guide utilization and user responses, which are securely stored within a private library accessible only to the user.

Additionally, users have the option to share access to their personal library, toolkit, and reports with other authenticated MyGuide accounts. The platform offers a catalog of guide samples and templates curated by clinicians, organizations, and individual users to support various needs and scenarios.

Guides are structured into one or more screens arranged into sequences or groups. The build process includes plugins that allow for extensive customization of each page, incorporating elements such as textual prompts, instructions, questions, response options, and multimedia resources—including images, GIFs, audio, and video—whose size, font, position, and visual effects can be tailored. Programmable actions enable dynamic interactions on any screen or plugin level; these actions include visual effects, text-to-speech functionality, navigation between screens or external websites, data entry into reports, toggling media visibility, and other interactive features.
